A day at PC Options – Gilmore…

Cutting the story short, right after office, I went straight home and rest for an hour and told my mom that I have to go to the PC shop (PC Options) to get my rig checked.

As I was suspected, it was the power supply who failed me. But the guys at PC Options were perhaps the best crew in terms of service. I had a lot of bad experiences in terms of item warrantys and the like, but by the moment I got there, the guys are already up and ready to disect my ailing system.

It took me a while though to go home, I can’t blame the guys for passing by my PC once in a while since customers are flowing in. And those customers are there to buy stuff, not to get their stuff checked. Even though I was at their service center, single units are being sold there as well, and there are also some other units needed to be checked.

I was able to chat with all of the service men of PC options and even though they work like horses, they were still able to accomodate all of their customers. But 2 members of the crew stayed with the rig (perhaps they were the veterans of fixing stuff there), and gave me some tips on my PC, they’ve informed me that, yeah my power supply’s already busted but since its still in its warranty period, they’ll replace it free of charge. However, they warned me that this new power supply will eventually end up like the first one since its generic.

These guys placed like 3 or 4 power supply units on my PC to check the most efficient one. The first one’s bad, 2nd one’s working but noisy, the third one’s quiet (really quiet since it shuts down after a while) and the fourth one, I already forgot. hehe :gg:

Anyway, I’d like to give out my kudos to the staff of PC Options and its management for their help and patience with their customers like me, I know for myself that I’m not the ranting one but I demands solutions in a nice way, and these guys did their job perfectly. I hope we all work like this. Again, Thanks a lot! :no1:

Sorry I’ve been out of the circulation in a while, its been these games that keeps me preoccupied lately… And with these games I’m playing right now I don’t have much time to post anything. But in due time I’ll be able to get back… Oh yeah, the games:

Just when I thought that I could get a HD enclosure and a combo drive for my desktop, the worst happened. Last Saturday, while I’m playing @ Relic Online (Company of Heroes), I was on the brink of winning against a good player when my monitor suddenly… died. >_<

Of course I can still hear the Allied units dying thanks to the fortified positions that my vehicles and units are enjoying that time. But without the power of sight, I’m virtually blind and will not be able to win the match at all. So I decided to close the program. And yeah, the monitor is dead.

To fulfill my addiction to the game, I was able to open the monitor itself and found out that there’s a piece inside the crap that is flickering when the switch is turned on. But I’m no good at electronics. By that time I decided to place back the monitor and for about an hour, I feel like an addict who’s been out of hits and I feel like I’m already drooling off. >_<

(Ganito gusto kong gawin sa monitor ko nung mga oras na un.)

Anyway, I thought that maybe I can use the old TV downstairs and use it for a while. Thanks to the old cables that I got from my video card, it worked! The sad part was, since our TV’s kinda old, I can hardly read any texts from the desktop and I have to use a magnifier to read the thing clearly. >_<

But I didn’t go empty handed, somehow I was able to enjoy DBZ 2 from Snes emulator and I was also able to play H.A.W.X., on top of that, my mom favored the temporary relocation of my PC downstairs since she can watch whatever movie she pleases to watch.

Speaking of watching movies, we’re able to dry our eyes with, Angels n Demons, Drag Me To Hell, Prison Break season 4, Ip Man (I watched it again w/ her), and some episodes from Death Note and Dragon Ball.

Anyway, I guess that’s it for today, I gotta go back at work. A few hours more and I’ll be off to Bicol, with my relatives from mother’s side. :no1:

I need a new monitor, the question is, should I buy a new monitor and I won’t be ablt to buy new stuff for my PC, or will it be the other way around?Skins hd

Finally, I was able to buy my new PC! :gg:

I’m considering it as a gift for myself this christmas. :no1:

From my old P4 system, I now have a AMD 2.6 dual core processor, 2 gb of ram (800mhz), geforce 8600gt 1 gb 128 video card, and what else? Oh my HD? Its still an old new one.
