Game 3 of NCAA 84 Finals.

So who’ll it be? Will the Red Lions feast on the carcass of the cagers from Kalentong or will the Heavy Bombers waste the champions of Mendiola? We’ll find out in a few minutes… As for me? I’ll go for JRU. :gg:

By the way, its half time and Beda is up by 9 points.

Mike’s Invitational Airsoft Game

Where?

Boom na Boom! Pasay City

Map to Boom na Boom Carnival

Map to Boom na Boom Carnival

See that little white box? That’s the site.

When?

September 7, 2008

What time will it start?

11 a.m. Since all players will have an orientation to the game itself.

Fees?

If you have your gear all you have to pay is the entrance fee, that’s 100 bucks, but if you don’t have one, it’ll cost 650 pesos inclusive of the gun, vest, extra mag (I wonder why :hmm: ), and the mask. Expensive? Not really. Why? Free food and drinks (toma) after the game. :no1:

What will the site look like?

Actually I haven’t played @ Boom na Boom yet though Mike said that its most likely played on a field with some cover to hide on. I never played at any site other than Poly (Team MAG’s base), so I guess this will be fun. :no1:

What to wear?

Well that depends on you, if you have something that will protect your arms, go for a long-sleeved one better yet, use your fatigue uniform way back ROTC, lol. But if you’re up for blacks and blues, anything goes. Don’t forget your shoes. Its nasty to get hit on the foot. :gg:

By the way, who’s Mike?

Mike’s one of my colleagues at the mountaineering club back in college. Ever since I got into the game, I tried to look for people who can play with me (other than Sean who introduced me to the game), it so happened that Mike has lots of moohla and got instantly addicted to the game as well. So addicted that he bought stuff not only for himself, but having an airsoft site for him and his brother who works abroad. In other words, “adik sila.:gg:

Next in Line: M733 papogi.

Ok. Just when I thought that when my M733 Commando’s all good at stock, and after a couple of games at POLY, I realized that my gun needs more pogi points. So… my next project would be enhancing some of its aesthetics at the same time it would give me more help in playing.

This is how I would like my gun to turn into:

As of the moment  the only thing that’s added in my stock gun is the gun sling, I don’t have the red dot scope and the tactical light yet, oh yeah, the suppressor too. I want one. :gg:

These add-ons will help me zeroing-in bogeys in sight. A friend of my officemate told me there’s a cheap red dot scope that can be bought for around 400 bucks somewhere in Quiapo. Actually I was able to see one but I’m still hesitant that time to purchase it since I’m not sure if the scope would fit in the rail mount of my gun. And of course I still have to learn more about my gun first. :D

If there’s someone who can recommend me a good place to buy stuff, or if that red dot scope at Quiapo’s good, I’ll head on and buy it right away, but of course your help would be much appreciated. :no1:

A tiring but fun Saturday…

Right after work, the TDP guys are out for a drinking session in to celebrate Jobert’s marriage and Onat’s upcoming birthday. But I chose not to go with them since I have other matters to do that morning. And that is playing airsoft.

I saw the guys leave by groups except for Jason, our manager, the good guy gave me some refreshments and a pack of Marlboro lights before they set off. So there. I was all alone now and waited for a cab. I got at the game site at around 9 a.m. and to my surprise, the assembly area was empty. A rare scene for a Saturday morning game. But then I’ve noticed a lot of cars in the area and I decided to take a smoke first, then I tried to settle at the guard’s quarters. I’ve waited for a couple of minutes until a MAG (Makati Airsoft Group) member arrived. And lucky me, it was a familiar face.

Good thing he remembered my face as well and greeted me off with his usual loud voice. (SER!) sir as he said, and I replied  “good morning sir!”. He asked me if there was some players upstairs already and I said yes, but I have no idea if I can go up right away. By the way, this guy calls himself Checkmate. And as the MAG members tell about him, he’s one of the most wackiest and one of the most “makunat” player in their team. :gg:

I’ve managed to lose my boredom since the guy’s so fun to be with, he never runs out of jokes and tales about the site, the team he’s into, even Makati himself. He also teached me  how to disassemble my rifle, and I find that thing so useful so that next time, I can go w/ my bigger backpack on even without the rifle. During our little conversation, some of the MAG members are starting to arrive one by one. and there, until Sean, one of my good friends that introduced me to the sport finally came.

It was almost 11:30 when we started playing. I find playing that time privileged since I was the only guest playing that time, I was playing with the whole MAG team then. But of course the opposing force would be coming from the MAG team too. Of course Joseph, one of MAG’s  devils sprayed me again with bb’s when I lost focus and started to rest at my spot. Damn, to think my spot’s a killing zone since the assault team are coming from the ladder, making them open.

But I still feel proud since I took less bruises this time, assaulting more and getting 2 confirmed kills. Of course I still got hit a couple of times. But hey, its worth it.

After my last game, I was about to join them again for the real last game that day but one of the players saw something from the other building, a girl was taking a bath and its right in front of our eyes. The players lost their will to play and just scoped to the other building. hahaha! :gg:

To Sean, Checkmate,  Zamora and the other players of MAG, thanks and I look forward playing with you, maybe next week? :) :no1:

A good Saturday

Yesterday, my baby was put to the test, the same goes w/ me :D . I believe I woke up at around 5:30 a.m. since I was that excited to play airsoft. Had my breakfast at around 7 a.m., then started packing my stuff, and before leaving the house, I had a quick game of COH w/ Ego via Hamachi.

One thing I’ve noticed before I take a bath was Chix, my pet scorpion. I was about to give her some misting but by the time I saw her enclosure, I was shocked to see her molting in action! I even contacted Onat to ask what to do when the scorps start to molt. He said just leave em as it is.

Anyway, after I took a bath, my mom’s very persistent to ride a cab going to Makati since I still don’t have my permit for my gun, so, ok. My mom won. I dropped her off at SM Centerpoint and I rushed to the game site @ Malugay St. in Makati.

By the time I got in the gate, I started to wait for Sean and somehow I was afraid to go inside the building, since there’s a police mobile that parked on the gate. By the time I texted Sean, he was just walking along the building and said: “Hindi yan yung gate, tae.” (That’s not the gate, turd.).

When we got inside the building, the other players are already there, some plays w/ their gun, others chatting, while others are just strolling around. I was amazed w/ the guns that these guys have, I feel so weak w/ my gun, but Sean asked me to test my gun at the chronograph and felt happy w/ the results. My M733 Commando @ stock can run up to 400 fps. :) not bad since the game site’s fps limit was 420.

Then the games begin. I’m starting to love CQB since its much action packed and all. we got the whole 5th floor as our battleground, and since the building was a former city college,  expect that floor to be humongous. :)

I fired a couple of shots to test if my rifles ok. And yes its ok. :D It’s good! I’ve managed to frag 3 guys and got killed a couple of times, I simply just hate the zombies and some of the  players who brandish their guns and fire w/o their heads showing. >_<

Over all the game was all good. Got a single drawback though, my rifle bag’s sling broke by the time I got to the game site, so after this post I’ll go somewhere to have my bag fixed, and oh yeah, my dear Chix’s alive! :D
