Where: Poly (formerly Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Makati)
Games played: 8
Frags: 3
Kills: 8
Hits on me: bruises on both knees, 2 bb shots on the right knee, 1 on the right cheek ( damn this mask), unlimited hits on the back ( I can’t count them), 2 on the right shoulder, 1 on the left.
Woohoo! This is at far the best airsoft game that I’ve played since I’ve started playing Airsoft! And this time I went to Poly alone since Sean wasn’t available (he’s working yesterday, pfft). Anyway, almost all of the players yesterday are coming from Team MAG (Makati Airsoft Group) and there were also a couple of cops from Makati who joined with us, along of course the people like me who just went there to have fun.
One of the highlights of yesterday’s game was when the gameplay started to shift from Skirmish mode (ubusan ng lahi) to Capture the flag (self explanatory). Anyway, the flag was fought by MAG and the outsiders (that’s us). The first game didn’t last for a minute since some of us didn’t really get the style of the game that we’re playing. So one of the cops finally came up with a sound plan of getting aggressive and go for the flag and run back to the base as quickly as possible. Then all of a sudden, words just came off my mouth: “Iwan ko na tong gamit ko, ako nang tatakbo sa flag. Basta sunod lang kayo sa likod ko.” (I’ll leave my gun, I’ll rush through that flag and cover me.). The whole team agreed and the same cop (our leader) told the rest of the team to give me covering fire while I make the sprint through the flag.
MASKS DOWN!!! 5…4…3…
At the count of 2 I was already running like hell and saying: Sugod!!!!!(Charge!!!)
i didn’t notice my team mates since I was that focused in getting that flag. About 2 or 3 seconds more I’m starting to hear massive footsteps and by the time I make a turn on the corner, I saw like 3 or 4 MAGs getting into a fixed position to get the flag. For like a fraction of a second, I had my second thoughts of hiding, but no! I told myself, I should get that freaking flag. Then 2 more seconds, I was already at the flag pole and I thought I could reach it already but I didn’t thought that the flag was that high and I still have to jump for me to get that darn flag. As soon as I got the flag, I noticed that I was already at the crossfire between my team and MAG. I was still able to run a couple of meters back but the next thing I felt was my back was getting a flurry of flying BB’s and I was shouting like hell “HIT HIT HIT HIT!!!!” Good thing several of my teammates were there to retrieve the flag, one of the first to get the flag was the cop, but was killed right away after making a few steps, but before he was shot, he was able to throw the flag away and the rest is history.
When we got back to the safe zone, the players commended me for what I’ve done. Especially MAG and the cops. One of the cops said: Bat wala kang vest?(How come you don’t have a vest?) And I simply said that I don’t have one yet and I think I’m getting used in getting hit as long as I have a little protection coming from my jacket. And the cop just nodded and smiled.
Then the third round of the capture the flag game started, but still in pain, I told my teammates to get another runner since I took a lot of damage from the previous game and I still ran like hell, but this time I went on assault mode and manage to hit 3 enemies before I got killed.
Anyway, in the other match, I was with 3 of my team mates and 4 enemies at the rooftop, somehow I made a bubu moment when I was taking cover, I got tripped by a nail or a wood chunk and dropped my gun like a meter away. Now my gun’s part was damaged aesthetically T_T but good thing it still works. That was the longest crossfire encounter I had when we have to take 4 MAGs out.
Grr. I just love playing it. And I hope that by the next game I can improve my performance better.

), and the mask. Expensive? Not really. Why? Free food and drinks (toma) after the game.
