<description>Well the fix actually seems to work, thanks for that.

Yet, some considerations:

cn.scs.msg.yahoo.com resolves to three IP addresses in 202.43.216.xxx, which is a network range that belongs to (according to WHOIS):

route: 202.43.216.0/23
descr: Yahoo China
country: CN
origin: AS10228
mnt-by: MAINT-AP-YAHOO-INC
changed: gnelson@yahoo-inc.com 20030813
source: APNIC

It is known that china based subsidiaries of international ISPs play by the rules as set forth by the Chinese government and law - and since they want to stay in business, the better had to.

Given that &quot;communication privacy&quot; (read internet censorship) is a say &quot;controversial&quot; topic in China, we can all imagine where this might lead to (Deep Packet Inspection and Interception, anyone?).

Personally, I am reluctant to perform my login process over a server that is in China, even if this means that I&#039;ll be without YM for a while.

best regards
